Originally the quaint abode of the toll keeper, the cottage boasts a fascinating history dating back to its construction in 1879, with charming additions made in the early 1900s.

Accommodating two guests, the interior welcomes you with a cozy living space that revolves around a delightful log burner, creating a warm atmosphere for intimate evenings spent indoors. The fully-equipped kitchen invites you to whip up culinary delights, while the inviting dining area sets the stage for countless shared dinners. A comfortable double bedroom features charming striped wooden walls that enhance the cottage's unique character, and the shower room adds convenience to your stay. Step outside to experience stunning, uninterrupted views from the private terrace, an idyllic spot to unwind, absorb the serene atmosphere, and observe the local wildlife. The occasional sight of cars, cyclists, or walkers crossing the historic bridge adds a touch of life to the peaceful setting, making every moment spent outside magical.

The cottage is ideally situated for exploring the breathtaking surroundings. The adjacent Mawddach Trail, once a railway track, beckons you for leisurely strolls or invigorating bike rides. For a unique experience, consider renting one of the two MiRiDER e-bikes available on-site; simply arrange ahead of your arrival for an adventure with a different perspective of the beautiful landscape. Travel slightly further afield to discover the charming seaside town of Barmouth, with its stunning sandy beaches, or wander through the traditional market town of Dolgellau. This delightful town offers an array of artisan shops and a weekly farmer’s market, perfect for picking up local produce. The majestic peaks of Cader Idris are close by, beckoning exploration, while the wonders of Snowdonia are just a short drive away, providing ample opportunities for adventure and discovery.

Upon arrival, you’ll find a small supply of logs awaiting you to ignite the cozy log burner, with additional logs available for pre-order or purchase from the toll keepers, ensuring you remain snug during your stay.

On-site costs

Payment terms and -periods

A deposit equivalent to 30% of the total amount and any cancellation insurance shall be made within 7 days. The second payment shall be made no later than six weeks before departure.

If you pay in two installments, you will receive an email with a reminder to pay the second installment one week before its term expires. If you leave within six weeks, you must make payment in one installment. When leaving within 14 days, you must make payment in one installment via credit card or PayPal.
