Detailed information
Tucked away in the heart of Lydbrook in the Forest of Dean, this beautifully converted 15th-century village pub offers a unique stay for large groups. The charm of its former life lingers in the original bar, woodburning stove, and warm, welcoming spaces, all thoughtfully updated with modern comforts. Its central location makes it an excellent base for outdoor adventures, family gatherings, or relaxed getaways surrounded by nature.
Spread across 7/8 en-suite bedrooms sleeping up to 22, the layout caters to all ages, with a ground-floor room and accessible bathroom for those needing easy access. Gather in the spacious kitchen-diner with a 20-seat table, perfect for long meals and lively conversation. Three cosy lounges, a covered hot tub, and a games room ensure plenty of places to relax or play, while the secure garden and woodland space offer room for pets and children to roam.
Note: The house accommodates up to 20 guests plus two infants, and extra guests require approval. Prices include utilities, linens, towels, and cleaning. Check-in is from 4 PM and check-out by 10 AM. Two well-behaved pets are welcome (£50 per pet) but not on furniture. No stag parties allowed; hen or single-sex groups need prior approval. Cancellations may incur charges, so travel insurance is recommended. Smoking is only allowed outside, fireworks and open fires are prohibited, and noise must be kept low after 10:30 PM. The hot tub can be used between 9 AM and 10 PM and must be kept clean. Unauthorized EV charging is not allowed, and guests park at their own risk. The owners are not liable for loss or injury except in cases of proven negligence. Prices are valid only until 17th December 2026. Offers will not be available after this date.
