Welcome to our charming and cozy cottage located just outside Leksand — a place where you can unwind, enjoy nature, and stay close to both adventure and tranquility. The cottage offers everything you need for a comfortable stay, with one bedroom for restful nights, and a living room with a sofa bed that can easily accommodate one or two children without compromising space or coziness. The décor is a warm blend of styles, where modern touches meet traditional charm and personal accents that make you feel right at home. In the living room there is a delightful open fireplace, which provides extra warmth and character — it crackles beautifully on chillier evenings and becomes a natural gathering spot for quiet moments. Firewood is provided by the owner from the woodshed, so all you need to do is light the fire and enjoy the atmosphere. Surrounding the house are expansive lawns—perfect for children’s games, ball play, or for stretching your legs and simply being outdoors. A covered veranda is attached to the cottage, where you can savor morning coffee, read, or let a barbecue evening unfold even if the weather turns. In the garden there are additional outdoor chairs and tables, so you’re free to choose where you’d like to settle during the day. Leksand Sommarland has something for big and small and is an excellent day out for those who enjoy an active holiday, approx 15 min by car. If you’re drawn to swimming, there is a bathing area with piers approximately 1,500 metres from the house — close enough for spontaneous dips, yet distant enough to feel peaceful. There is also the option to fish nearby, for those who want a serene moment by the water with a rod in hand. One of the true gems in the area is Limsjön — a shallow, nutrient-rich bird lake near Leksand’s center, with a walking trail of approximately 7 kilometres that circles the lake. The path is gravel and for the most part easy to walk—even with a stroller—and along the way there are several bird towers and a bird-hide where you can observe birdlife up close. It is one of the most bird-rich wetland areas in the county — over 200 species have been recorded at Limsjön, depending on the season you may see everything from common waterbirds to more rare species, and flora such as the fragrant marsh orchid blossoms here in late summer. The hike around the lake is not only exercise, but an opportunity to hear birdsong, experience nature, and pause to take in the details — perhaps walking slowly past a bird tower at dawn or pausing at a hide for a quiet moment. With us, you get the best of both worlds: a cozy cottage with everything needed for a pleasant stay — and nature experiences right on your doorstep, from swimming and fishing to birdlife and walking trails. Payment terms and -periods

A deposit equivalent to 30% of the total amount and any cancellation insurance shall be made within 7 days. The second payment shall be made no later than six weeks before departure.

If you pay in two installments, you will receive an email with a reminder to pay the second installment one week before its term expires. If you leave within six weeks, you must make payment in one installment. When leaving within 14 days, you must make payment in one installment via credit card or PayPal.
