The holiday home for 7 persons has a bathroom and four bedrooms and is equipped with a double bed, two double folding beds and a single bed. The holiday home is equipped with a heather. In southern Dalarna, just 200 meters from the Dalälven River, you’ll find this comfortable cottage. Discover Dalarna with everything from scenic hiking trails to fishing in lakes and rivers. The cottage sits on a large plot of land. While there are neighbors nearby, the setting is peaceful and undisturbed. Dalälven is about 200 meters away, and you can walk down to the river via a forest path. Swimming is possible, but it's a natural spot—so bring water shoes. About 2,500 meters from the cottage, there is a nice sandy beach that also has a small summer kiosk. The cottage has been rebuilt and extended in recent years and now features an open-plan layout. The kitchen corner is equipped for cooking, and a fridge with freezer is placed in the main room. The large living room includes a dining area with an open fireplace, and a cozy sitting area with a cast iron wood-burning stove for chilly evenings. There are four bedrooms in the house. One has a standard double bed (160 cm), two rooms have pull-out beds that expand to 160 cm wide, and the fourth room has a standard single bed. The bathroom is fresh and newly renovated, with a shower and toilet. This is also where you'll find the cottage’s private sauna. Outdoors, there are large grassy areas and two separate terraces to choose from—perfect for finding sun or shelter depending on the weather. If you're arriving with an electric car, there's a charging option in the carport at the entrance to the property. The cottage shares a community well, and the water is rich in iron, which may give it a slight smell. However, it has been tested and is completely safe to drink. The countryside in southern Dalarna is rich in living culture, with heritage museums, flea markets, craft shops, summer cafés focusing on local produce. In villages like By Kyrkby, you’ll often find theater performances, markets, and farm-based activities that attract both locals and visitors. For those interested in history, there are traces of old industrial communities, blast furnace ruins, and historical power plants—remnants of a time when iron and forestry dominated the local economy. Guests are responsible for cleaning the cottage themselves and must bring their own bed linens and towels. A warm welcome!

Payment terms and -periods

A deposit equivalent to 30% of the total amount and any cancellation insurance shall be made within 7 days. The second payment shall be made no later than six weeks before departure.

If you pay in two installments, you will receive an email with a reminder to pay the second installment one week before its term expires. If you leave within six weeks, you must make payment in one installment. When leaving within 14 days, you must make payment in one installment via credit card or PayPal.
