Excursion possibilities: From Malpica, both La Coruña, the provincial capital, and Santiago de Compostela, the capital of the Galicia region, can be reached by car within 1 hour. The Bergantiños region is home to various monuments and sights from different eras. The famous Finisterre headland in the far west of Galicia can also be reached by car in around 30-40 minutes.

Location description: Malpica, together with Caión, is one of the most picturesque and traditional fishing villages on the famous Costa da Morte. Like the entire region, Malpica has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine. For lovers of fresh fish and seafood, the region is hard to beat anywhere in the country. Galicia is renowned throughout Spain for the quality of its produce. The coast is very rich in sandy beaches of all sizes, which, in contrast to the Rías Baixas (in the SW of Galicia), are rarely visited by beach tourists in summer. Many beautiful stretches of land and beaches can therefore be discovered when travelling along the coast.
