A private pool right in front of your bedroom door, proximity to the beach and hiking trails at your front door: that is the Casa Tamadaba at the heart of the UNESCO natural reserve. At a sunny hillside elevation of 150 meters above sea level, you can enjoy views of the beautiful landscape with its rock walls and the valley all to way to the ocean. The property is located on the edge of the small village of El Risco, which is part of Agaete in the west of the island.
The pool (maintained year round, but not heated; depth of 1.50 m) is cleaned by salt electrolysis and offers views of the Teide on clear days. Enjoy star gazing at night. In El Risco, accessible on foot, you can reach a small shop and a cafe/bar/restaurant. Supermarkets, shops, ATMS and numerous restaurants can be found at the fishing harbour in the old town of Agaete, 15 km from the property. El Risco, 150 m above sea level and protected from the elements by the mountains, has one of the best microclimates on the island. You can start your hike on your front door. It is 45 minutes to Charco Azul, a waterfall, and an hour to Tirma, Faneque and the pine forest of Tamadaba.The spacious patio, on the south side of the house, faces the garden and is furnished with a table and chairs and a sun shade; at the western end of the patio is an upholstered seating accommodation. The 100 year old trees are a refuge for birds and offer welcome shade.
The 68 m² country house offers a double bedroom, a spacious living/dining room with an integrated, fully loaded kitchen and a bathroom with a window. The beautiful interior boasts high ceilings under the pitched roof, natural stone walls in the living room and modern amenities that will ensure a relaxing holiday. The bedroom is furnished with a 150 cm x 200 cm bed. On either side of the bed is a nightstand. A dresser with a mirror offers plenty of space for clothes. There is a desk, which you can use as a workspace, as the house does offer Wi-Fi. The living room is furnished with a comfortable sofa and an armchair. For your evening entertainment, there are a flat screen satellite TV, a DVD player and a stereo. The 130 cm x 210 cm sofa bed can accommodate and additional guest. The dining table with four chairs lets you enjoy your meals together. The kitchen offers everything you need for a self-catering holiday and is equipped with a four burner stove, an oven, a refrigerator/freezer combo, as well as a dishwasher, a coffee maker, a toaster and a kettle. The bathroom boasts a window and is furnished with a shower tub, a toilet, a bidet and a sink with a vanity and an illuminated mirror. A washing machine is at your disposal.
