The holiday home for 5 persons has two bathrooms and two bedrooms. The holiday home is equipped with a swimming pool and a garden. You can park your car on a parking lot (indoor). The badroom is equipped with a shower.

The property Encosta do Sobreiro with an overall area of 2,5 hectares is located in Fornos de Algodres, at the foothills of Serra da Estrela – Unesco´s World Geopark. Encosta do Sobreiro is the perfect destination for family and friends vacations, to spend peaceful moments with your ideal partner, leaving behind the hectic and crowded metropolitan areas and welcoming the silence of a typical mountain village, rejoicing in days of absolute rest and leisure.

Both bedrooms have direct access to a beautiful garden area, to rest, read a book or simply “hear” the silence and appreciate the beautiful countryside. Also, at the entrance of the house, there is a table with chairs and a sun umbrella, so you can use the space outside for your convenience.

At Casa do Postigo, the divisions of the House converge to create a comfortable and cozy enviromment, and consist of:
– 2 bedrooms, one with an ensuite bathroom and the second bedroom includes two twin beds. Next to the second room there is one regular bathroom with shower. Hairdryer, TV and wardrobes. Possibility to add a baby cot, upon request.
– 1 fully furnished and equipped kitchen, appliances and kitchen utensils (ceramic hob, oven, refrigetor with small freezer, dishwasher, microwave, blender, juicer, Nespresso coffee machine, electric kettle and toaster).
– Living room with a wood stove, round dining table, chairs, sofa, and television.

Serra da Estrela, one of the global Geoparks by UNESCO, has an incredible natural beauty and is a place of interest for anthropologists, historians and tourists. Stories lay on the stones”, visit the municipal´s most interesting places: Fraga da Pena, Lagar de Azeite da Casa do Cabo/ ethnographic museum, the wind mill, Algodres village – viewpoint, and others. Fornos de Algodres is known for the production of Serra da Estrela´s cheese, one of the most iconic Portugal´s cheese. Possible visit to the cheese factories. 12 historical villages to discover: Almeida, Belmonte, Castelo Mendo, Castelo Novo, Castelo Rodrigo, Idanha-a-Velha, Linhares da Beira, Marialva, Monsanto, Piódão, Sortelha & Trancoso. Visit the Ecological Park of Gouveia, where adults and children can observe and interact with several types of animals (wild boar, fallow deer and an impressive collection of other mammals, birds and reptiles). 20 minutes driving from Encosta do Sobreiro.

Payment terms and -periods

After the booking confirmation, you must make a deposit equal to 20% of the total rental amount within 10 days. The second payment must be paid no later than 42 days before you leave. If you leave within six weeks, you must pay down the full amount immediately.
