General

The holiday home for 12 persons has five bathrooms and five bedrooms. The holiday home is equipped with a TV (international channels). In addition there is a barbecue, a swimming pool (private), a garden and an air conditioner. You can park your car on a parking lot (indoor). The badroom is equipped with a shower.

Situated in a unique position with a spectacular view of the surrounding hills, Castello di Casalta will allow you to enjoy an unforgettable experience of history, comfort, nature and privacy.

Castello di Casalta offers the unique and exciting opportunity to stay in a castle from the Middle Ages, complete with crenellated walls and watchtower, but without sacrificing the comforts and services of a high-class stay. Located in the province of Florence, the castle was originally built in 1300 and was an outpost of the Florentine de' Pazzi family of bankers, notorious for their failed conspiracy against the Medici. Today it is a charming 500 square metre luxury residence, surrounded by the typical landscape of the Tuscan countryside, with a succession of rolling hills covered in vineyards and olive groves.
Once you enter the property, you will feel as if you are entering a dream world. The castle is built around the central watchtower, which includes a large 60m2 furnished terrace with breathtaking views, an imperial suite and another room with a private bathroom. On either side of the central tower are two independent units, each with two large and quiet bedrooms. The first unit also includes a fireplace, a large library, an extra sofa bed, and finally a magnificent veranda protected by glass windows overlooking the garden.
All rooms are en-suite, and each independent unit has a fully equipped kitchen. This means that you can rent either the entire property or, during the winter season, one of the three independent units; each unit has its own entrance and privacy is always guaranteed.
In summer, the ancient Alberese stone walls keep the environment naturally cool. Large windows make the environment always bright and allow the view of the garden and surrounding hills to be enjoyed from every corner of the house.
Outside, the garden includes oaks and other ancient trees for wonderful and relaxing nature walks. The swimming pool with wooden sun terrace, open from 1 May to 30 October, is also surrounded by greenery. The garden also features charming secluded corners with tables and chairs for evening aperitifs or romantic al fresco dinners.

Your own car is necessary to get around freely as the villa is in open countryside not connected by public transport.

Payment terms and -periods

After the booking confirmation, you must make a deposit equal to 20% of the total rental amount within 10 days. The second payment must be paid no later than 42 days before you leave. If you leave within six weeks, you must pay down the full amount immediately.
