General

The farmhouse Fattoria Isola is located 500 metres from the medieval village of Laterina, in the centre of Tuscany. The farm covers more than 200 hectares and offers accommodation in 7 restored and elegantly furnished flats, offering the possibility of living immersed in the tranquillity of the countryside and visiting several well-known Tuscan cities of art such as Florence, Arezzo, Siena and Cortona.

The Fattoria, which once belonged to the Grand Duke of Tuscany, is an ancient farm consisting of a 17th-century villa surrounded by a park with centuries-old and rare plants, a consecrated private chapel that is still used especially during the month of May, a small village and several farmhouses.

The estate also has a beautiful game reserve populated by game such as pheasants, hares, partridges, roe deer, wild boar and fallow deer.

The 7 flats, divided into 2 buildings, have been renovated (in 2000) respecting the Tuscan style, elegantly furnished with the utmost care, including antiques and contemporary art, and equipped with satellite television and WIFI access. Each of the flats has a private outdoor area with table and chairs.

Lastly, the property has a swimming pool (7 metres by 14 metres with a Roman staircase, open from about the end of May to the end of September) surrounded by a large green area furnished with gazebos, deckchairs and parasols.

The farm also produces Chianti red wine, extra virgin olive oil, maize, wheat, sunflower and tobacco as well as a vegetable garden. It is possible to buy the products directly on the farm.

Various activities, other than swimming in the estate's pool, are offered, such as a football pitch, mountain biking (bike hire) or horse riding (to be organised on site), trekking, a bowling green, table tennis and tennis (500 m).
A barbecue is at guests' disposal.

The family is almost always present and willing to give advice on cultural visits, restaurants and typical local trattorias. In fact, the area offers a good choice of restaurants and trattorias of excellent quality at appropriate prices.

The property is also an excellent starting point for discovering the well-known art cities of Arezzo (15 km), Siena (50 km), Florence (50 km) Cortona (35 km) and Rome (200 km, 1h.20m by train from Arezzo), but also the more hidden and lesser-known areas of Tuscany.

Excursion destinations: Laterina, located in the centre of Tuscany, offers the possibility of visiting cities of art such as Arezzo (15 km), Florence (60 km), Siena (50 km), Cortona (30 km) and the Chianti Classico (30 km),...There is also the possibility of visiting:- Anghiari- Monte San Savino- Castelfiorentino- Loro Ciuffenna- Pioppi- La Verna- Pratomagno mountain with the possibility of trekking- and many other less famous but worthwhile places,...

Payment terms and -periods

After the booking confirmation, you must make a deposit equal to 20% of the total rental amount within 10 days. The second payment must be paid no later than 42 days before you leave. If you leave within six weeks, you must pay down the full amount immediately.
