One of the archaeological attractions is the Grangela, a filtering well used to supply the ancient city; it stretches vertically for 12 metres and then continues in a shaft that crosses the rock with a small tunnel 2 metres high and 7 metres wide. At the bottom of the basin are three pits to which the water collected through four catchment tunnels flows. Inside one of the pits, a number of artefacts from the Hellenistic period have been found.The Grangela is, for the people of Licata, a place of myth, and various legends and tales are linked to it. After the booking confirmation, you must make a deposit equal to 20% of the total rental amount within 10 days. The second payment must be paid no later than 42 days before you leave. If you leave within six weeks, you must pay down the full amount immediately.
