General

The holiday home for 18 persons has six bathrooms and ten bedrooms. The holiday home is equipped with a DVD player and a fireplace. In addition there is a garden (fenced), a barbecue, a terrace, an air conditioner and a swimming pool (private). You can park your car on a parking lot (indoor). The badroom is equipped with a shower.

A group of restored farmhouses: the essence of true Sicilian rural life. This large estate is divided into three farmhouses, each with its own private outdoor space; a garden with swimming pool and sea view. Suitable for groups and large families. The property is located just two kilometres from Fiumefreddo, a small village at the foot of Mount Etna overlooking the Ionian Sea, about halfway between Catania and Taormina.

Between the houses is a patio with a large dining table for 16 people, overlooking the orange grove, the sea and the pool. The large, elegantly designed swimming pool blends perfectly with the terraces and lawn buildings. There are numerous shaded areas for outdoor dining and relaxing, enjoying the view of the surrounding countryside and the sea.

The property is the perfect place to combine beach life with the tranquillity of a country estate. The accommodation at Borgo degli Aranci is spread over three buildings with a total of 10 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and 16 beds. On the ground floor there is a large living/dining room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a single bedroom. On the upper floor are two double rooms, two twin rooms and a single room, all with two shared bathrooms. Villa Mandarino: on one floor with a living/dining room, there are two bedrooms: one double and one twin, sharing a bathroom. Villa Pompelmo: A staircase leads from a large living room to the first floor, where there are two bedrooms: one double and one twin, sharing a bathroom. The other bathroom is on the ground floor, next to the well-equipped kitchen. Weekly cleaning and linen change are included. Daily maid service and a cook are available on request. There is a laundry room outside the houses for washing and ironing. For travellers with small children (under the age of two), a cot and high chair are available free of charge. As the houses are part of a licensed farm, the number of guests per house is limited by the permit documents, including the number of children in extra beds. Sleeping on sofas or air mattresses is not permitted. Likewise, campers or caravans are not allowed in the flat. We have to be very strict in this regard, and if at any time the number of guests occupying the house exceeds the agreed number, we reserve the right to terminate the stay and ask guests to leave. Rent is non-refundable.

The town of Fiumefreddo is an ideal base for exploring the volcano, as well as the many interesting towns and villages. There are many excellent excursions in the surrounding area and many visits to do: Taormina, Catania, the Alcantara Gorges and, a little further afield, Syracuse. The baroque town of Noto, the quiet beaches of Vendicari and Capo Passero in the south and Messina in the north are all within easy reach for day trips. Along the coast around Fiumefreddo, there are also charming fishing villages and several beaches, including Marina di Cottone, San Marco and Fondachello (in the far south). Further north, near Taormina, there is a good selection of sand and pebble beaches, rocky coves and caves: Mazzarò, Letojanni and Giardini-Naxos. Further south, towards Catania, are the charming towns of Riposto, Acireale, Aci Trezza and Aci Castello, where the coastline is rocky. An 18-hole golf course, Il Picciolo, is 10 km away, while an excellent tennis club, Circolo Tennis Le Rocce, is located in the small town of Mascali, about a 10-minute drive from the villa.

The property is immersed in the scents and colours of 3 hectares of orange groves, offering a splendid natural backdrop to Mount Etna and the sea. You can swim or ski while admiring the sea or explore the roads through Etna's vineyards.

Payment terms and -periods

After the booking confirmation, you must make a deposit equal to 20% of the total rental amount within 10 days. The second payment must be paid no later than 42 days before you leave. If you leave within six weeks, you must pay down the full amount immediately.
