This 18th-century house, which was renovated recently, is located in the Etna foothills in the municipality of Castiglione.

The apartment is on two floors and has its own separate entrance. In the entrance area there is the living room of around 28 m², where there are a three-quarter sofa bed, a dining table with chairs, and an open, well-equipped kitchen with a stainless steel sink, electric hob, oven and fridge, crockery and cutlery for six people. The bathroom has a shower and a WC. From the living room, stairs lead up to the first floor, an attic space with a bedroom with a double bed and two single beds. There are also bedside tables and quaint table lamps. The ceiling is 2.40m high in the middle and 1.70m at the sides. The floor is completely wooden and there are two roof windows. It has a built-in cupboard as a wardrobe and a chest with blankets and pillows.

There is also a large terrace for commun use with seating furniture and a view of Etna. Since 2018 there is also an outdoor kitchen for the summer with a stove, sink and grill, which guests can use free of charge. There is also a small,, simple swimming pool.

Sicilian cuisine is served in the nearby family restaurant.

The house is located in the well-known Nerello wine cultivation area, in a breathtakingly beautiful landscape in the Etna park. In the little village of Solicchiata you can find a post office, a pharmacy, grocery shops and butchers with typical local products. The ski pistes are 19km away, as well as the starting points for hikes on the most active volcano in Europe. Alcantara is also just 9km away, as are the sea and the Giardini di Naxos. Here there is also the Marina di Cottona nature reserve, with a lovely natural beach, Ciotoli. Don't miss the numerous other possibilities for excursions into nature or for wine tastings. The Picciolo Golf Club is just 3 km away. The baroque town of Catania is 55 km away. You can also visit Syracuse with its famous old town (110 km), the picturesque Taormina (35 km) and the beaches of Giardini Naxos (19 km).

After the booking confirmation, you must make a deposit equal to 20% of the total rental amount within 10 days. The second payment must be paid no later than 42 days before you leave. If you leave within six weeks, you must pay down the full amount immediately.
