Close to the ancient village of Matino is the cosy and spacious Residenza Antica Distilleria, an important part of the De Luca family's patronal palace, full of charm and history that can easily be seen in its rooms and furnishings. The residence is located on the first floor of an aristocratic palace dating back to the end of the 19th century and designed by the famous architect Napoleone Portaluri. Access to the house is via an independent flight of stairs that leads to a graceful entrance hall, from which one enters a large frescoed room characterised by a high vaulted ceiling and a luminous French window overlooking the large garden below, in the centre of which stands the majestic chimney, an architectural remnant of the old factory, 54 metres high and a characteristic symbol of the city itself. The dwelling is completed with another room used as a bedroom, which also has frescoes representing the four phases of the day, a bathroom and a kitchen equipped for all needs. The kitchen leads to a large terrace with a gazebo, tables and chairs. Guests have a dedicated and independent entrance and can park their cars inside the property's courtyard. Within a few metres of the property, the main services such as supermarkets, bars, tobacconists and ATMs are accessible.

Situated in the Salento hinterland, a short distance from the beaches of Gallipoli, Matino is an ancient village with a well-preserved historic centre, rich in traditional architecture and authentic atmosphere. The locality offers a tranquil setting, ideal for those wishing to explore the Salento away from the more crowded areas while remaining close to the sea. After the booking confirmation, you must make a deposit equal to 20% of the total rental amount within 10 days. The second payment must be paid no later than 42 days before you leave. If you leave within six weeks, you must pay down the full amount immediately.
