The house enjoys a peaceful setting just a 3-minute walk from the centre of Carpignano Salentino, a small town rich in history. Carpignano Salentino is located in the province of Lecce, in the Apulia (Puglia) region of southern Italy. Set in the heart of Salento, it lies just a short drive from the Adriatic coast. This beautifully restored trullo, furnished with care for a comfortable stay is surrounded by a pretty garden with its own private pool. It provides an ideal base for families or friends looking to combine days of cultural discovery with relaxing moments on the peninsula’s stunning beaches. 

The property consists of two traditional stone trulli connected by a charming stone corridor. On one side, you will find the sitting room and kitchen. The vaulted sitting room is comfortably furnished with a sofa and a flat-screen TV, while the spacious kitchen and dining area comes equipped with a cooker hob, oven, fridge/freezer and a coffee maker. At the centre of the room, a dining table for four provides a welcoming space to enjoy meals together.

Sleeping
The unique domed bedroom, with pale stone walls, is furnished with a double bed and has a separate door leading out to the garden.
Extra: The sofa in the sitting room converts into a comfortable double bed.

Bathroom
The charming bathroom is appointed with a shower, basin, bidet and WC.

The surrounding area offers a wealth of history, culture and natural beauty to explore. In the nearby town, visitors can admire the Byzantine frescoes of the Cripta di Santa Cristina, some of which date back to 959 AD, as well as discover the ducal palace and the Palazzo Chironi. The town also provides excellent grocery stores and supermarkets, with a lively weekly market held every Saturday morning.

Just 7 minutes away lies Martano, a charming Greco-Salentine town still surrounded by medieval walls and dotted with historic buildings. Wandering through its streets is a delight, and the town’s restaurants invite guests to sample authentic local cuisine, fine wines and some of Italy’s best olive oil. Martano also hosts a bustling Tuesday market, perfect for picking up fresh local produce if you happen to miss Carpignano Salentino’s Saturday market.

A little further afield, the historic port town of Otranto (15 minutes) makes for a wonderful day trip with its impressive castle, lively harbour and sandy beach. The baroque splendour of Lecce, known as the “Florence of the South” (35 minutes), is also not to be missed, with its stunning architecture and Roman heritage.

For beach lovers, some of Puglia’s most beautiful stretches of coast are within easy reach, including Baia dei Turchi (18 minutes) and the dramatic Faraglioni di Sant’Andrea (16 minutes).

Payment terms and -periods

The initial deposit is 30% of the rent and any covered insurance. The second payment must be paid no later than six weeks before you leave. If you leave within nine weeks, you must pay the full amount in one installment.
