In the main square stands the medieval Castello Svevo, donated by Federico II to the city, which houses the "Attilio Moroni" Municipal Art Gallery on the first floor. The large courtyard houses the Beniamino Gigli arena, named after the famous tenor from Recanati which, during the summer season, becomesstage of a large carnet of musical events.The seafaring tradition of Porto Recanati is well documented in the Sea Museum, which is located in the complex of the former fish market, a modern structure on two levels built between 1975 and 1980 next to the old fish market.To the south of the city is the archaeological area of the Roman city Potentia, near which the remains of the Abbey of Santa Maria in Potenza, founded by the order of the crucifers in the 12th century, are visible. In the Scossicci valley stands the small church of the Banderuola, built on the site where, according to tradition, the Holy House (now kept in the famous Sanctuary of Loreto) stopped for the first time during its translation to Italy. In the Montatrice area stands the Villino Terni, in Art Nouveau style, whose lounge and ground floor were frescoed by the local painter Biagio Biagetti.A typical dish of the Marche town is brodetto, a single fish-based dish. After the booking confirmation, you must make a deposit equal to 20% of the total rental amount within 10 days. The second payment must be paid no later than 42 days before you leave. If you leave within six weeks, you must pay down the full amount immediately.
