Detailed information
Farm holidays with a view of the castle. The idyllic farm, a former inn, is located near the Saale river in the sleepy village of Tümpling, directly opposite Tümpling Castle.
A large, vine-covered terrace under the two lime trees (incl. bench, seat cushions, parasol, table, 2 folding chairs, garden lounger if required) is at the exclusive disposal of holiday guests. Tree swings and other children's toys may also be used. Barbecues are available on request. 1-2 guest parking spaces directly in front of the apartment. The property is completely fenced. In the large garden you can meet our 4 cats, chickens, 1 turtle and 2 alpacas.
The holiday flat on the ground floor (renovation 2024 and 2025) consists of a kitchen-living room, bedroom and bathroom. Holiday guests also have access to a large cloakroom in the hallway (also space for pushchairs etc.). The eat-in kitchen is equipped with a 4-burner cooker (ceramic hob, extractor bonnet), oven, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, fridge (incl. freezer compartment), pots, pans, spices, crockery and cutlery as well as a cosy dining area (table, 2 chairs, corner bench with 3 seats, radio with CD compartment). TV can be watched from a pull-out sofa bed (sleeps 2). The centrepiece of the bedroom is a rustic natural bunk bed (1.6 x 2.0 m) made of thick oak trunks, which sleeps 4 adults. Clothes can be stored in 1 wardrobe, 1 chest of drawers and on a clothes rail. The cosy bathroom (clay plaster) has a shower, washbasin and toilet. The apartment is 34 square metres in size and centrally heated. It is most comfortable for 1-4 persons. It can accommodate up to 6 people.
The holiday apartment is in a very attractive tourist location. A wide range of leisure activities are possible in the surrounding area: Hiking (castles, palaces, ruins, orchids, extensive beech forests), cycling (Saale cycle path, sugar railway cycle path very close), rafting and canoeing on the Saale (canoe station within 5 minutes walking distance), wellness (thermal baths, (thermal baths, brine baths, climatic spas), wine tasting, horse riding, carriage rides, restaurant visits, cultural and historical strongholds Jena, Weimar, Naumburg with city tours (museums, theatre, planetarium, botanical garden, Göthehäuschen...) or cinema, summer concerts ... . Swimming in outdoor pools and lakes, also in the Saale at unknown Saale beaches. Visits to Stone Age sites such as Nebra, Goseck, burial mounds. Famous buildings on the Romanesque Road (Naumburg Cathedral, Rudelsburg Castle, Saaleck Castle ... ) can often be reached by bike from the holiday apartment. Tümpling has a wonderful playground and sports field. Inline skating or roller skiing is also possible on the nearby Saale cycle path. Free WLAN access for guests. On request: Baby travel cot, high chair available free of charge. Joint walk with our two leashed alpacas possible on request. Fresh chicken eggs depending on the hens' laying mood.
