Situated in the picturesque town centre of Ilfeld, surrounded by mountains up to 600 metres high, our half-timbered house built in 1800, formerly the first school in Ilfeld, offers a unique holiday experience. Our holiday flats, lovingly named after the surrounding mountains or rock formations, invite you to dream and relax.

The "Mönch" holiday flat offers approx. 40 m² of space for up to 3 people and is located on the ground floor, easily accessible via 4 steps. With a cosy living room, equipped with a flat-screen TV and upholstered suite, which can be used to sleep a third person, a bedroom with 2 single beds that can also be pushed together, a fully equipped kitchen including electric cooker and dining table and a bathroom with shower/bathtub, this flat offers all the comfort you could wish for during your stay. Windows overlooking our courtyard provide fresh air and a pleasant atmosphere.

Our outdoor area enchants with an abundance of flowers, a sunbathing lawn and several outdoor seating areas. Here you can unwind, relax or enjoy cosy barbecue evenings. The breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains and the charming half-timbered houses will transport you to a world of relaxation and tranquillity.

The most beautiful hiking trails start in the immediate vicinity of our guest house, leading you through magnificent mixed forests and to unique rock formations. The proximity to a variety of shopping facilities, restaurants and cultural and sporting activities makes Ilfeld the ideal starting point for discovery tours in the Harz Mountains. Whether you want to explore the local gastronomy, experience the Harz narrow-gauge railway or indulge in the numerous leisure activities - everything is just a stone's throw away.

Payment terms and -periods

After the booking confirmation, you must make a deposit equal to 20% of the total rental amount within 10 days. The second payment must be paid no later than 42 days before you leave. If you leave within six weeks, you must pay down the full amount immediately.
