It is easy to take day trips to the pretty medieval towns of Mirepoix and Limoux - or to the arts village of Montolieu. This is also wine country - with famous wines such as Corbières, Minervois, Cabardès, Côtes de Malepère and Limoux.

Mediterranean beaches at Narbonne and Gruissan are just an hour away. Lac de la Cavayère (swimming, water skiing, wakeboarding) is 25 minutes away. Also, white water thrills on River Aude are close. Winter sports in the Pyrenees are only a 45 minutes drive from the house.
