For nature lovers, the area offers a wide range of possibilities: hiking, cycling, mountain climbing, horse riding, etc. Culture lovers will enjoy the Cathar history, which has left its traces everywhere: the castle of Puivert and of course the castle of Montségur.

There's a nice lake for the kids at Montbel , but also visit the Monday morning market at Mirepoix, which by the way is a very pretty town with beautiful half-timbered houses and a cosy centre.
