Cottage 200 m² suiting 18 people - Charming renovated farm building
Rustic cottage of character with 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, designed to accommodate a small group of 15 to 18 (maximum 20) guests in a particularly friendly setting in a renovated farm building. Very large living / dining room and large covered terrace.
This cottage is located in the centre of the estate, in the old farm.
The sofa-bed brings flexibility depending on the family composition, but the units are most suitable for the indicated capacity.
The upper bed of bunk beds is not allowed for children under 6 years.
All units are fully furnished and equipped and have a terrace (porch) with outdoor furniture. They also have a mini HiFi system or at least a combined clock-radio-CD.
Free Internet (Wi-Fi) available everywhere.
All linen and bath towels can be provided. Television set and DVD player available for rent.
Laundry room available to guests at a small charge (washing machines, dryer, iron and ironing board).
The Resort :
Splendid property with 35 ha (87 acres) of undulating fields and woods. Village de Vacances ****, it is a calm green oasis perfectly situated in the south of historic Perigord (Dordogne), the region of a thousand Châteaux, near Quercy, Gascony and Guyenne. Its old charming renovated buildings, its excellent restaurant, the Auberge de Vezou (in the summer), and its modern accommodations in the middle of nature, together with the many organised activities, will make for a memorable stay.
On site activities: floodlit heated pool, spa (sauna, Jacuzzi), floodlit tennis, basket-ball and volley-ball courts, football field, table tennis, trampoline, boules, billiards, play area for the children, walking trails, …
Close to the Resort: horseback riding, cycling, adventure park, rock climbing, caving, canoeing/kayaking, fishing, buggy, varied day trips.
The owners of the domain welcome you personally and are at your disposal to help you during your stay.
Well behaved pets are most welcome, avoiding if possible July-August (too many children not used to dogs). This is a real paradise for dogs, with long free walks possible on the vast estate !
The resort is very quiet and peaceful out of the high season, except on weddings weekends. It obviously gets more animated with the children and teenagers playing and cheering in July-August, but the estate is very large and most of the units are remote from the centre of life (except for the cottages). You will have no difficulty to relax on your private terrace or the meadows around while your children are having fun together.
Gavaudun is a small medieval village, dominated by its 11th century castle with a remarkable dungeon. It is nestled between the valleys of the Lot and the Dordogne rivers and is close to the majestic châteaux of Biron and Bonaguil as well as the bastides of Monflanquin and Monpazier.
Sarlat and its festival, Rocamadour, Saint Emilion, Les Eyzies, Cahors, Moissac, Nérac, the prehistoric caves of Lascaux, Font de Gaume, Pech Merle and many other exceptional sites are awaiting your visit.
Périgord is also particularly renowned for its fine cuisine: duck, truffles, cepe mushrooms, foie gras, … with a glass of wine from Bergerac, Monbazillac, Cahors, … What pleasure to walk around the local markets!
Lastly, to please all, there are numerous cultural events organised around.
