Detailed information
This holiday accommodation is located in a small village (approx. 30 houses) opposite a small pond (nature reserve) where various bird species can be observed. The house is situated on a very quiet road which can only be used by residents. Otherwise this is the cycle and footpath to the 10 km long sandy beach of Erdeven, which is 800 metres away.
In the completely enclosed and secluded garden, you can enjoy your aperitif while listening to the sound of the sea and cooking fish and seafood on the barbecue. The garden is for the exclusive use of the guests and does not have to be shared with anyone else. From all rooms you have an unobstructed view over a 4 hectare nature reserve, where many rare bird species can be observed (don't forget your binoculars). The granite walls inside and outside are not only typical of the country, they also provide the necessary freshness on hot summer days. When the wind blows in from the Atlantic in autumn or spring, you feel really safe behind these walls. There is a car park right next to the house, so nothing stands in the way of arriving by car.
The living/dining area is on the ground floor, with windows facing both south-west towards the pond and glass doors facing south-east towards the garden. Also on the ground floor are the open-plan kitchen, a separate WC and the bathroom with bathtub. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary appliances for cooking and baking. After cooking, the dishwasher does the rest of the work so that nothing stands in the way of a relaxed meal. But breakfast can also get off to a good start, thanks to the coffee machine, toaster and kettle. As the fridge also has a freezer compartment, food can be stored perfectly during your stay. The two bedrooms are located on the upper floor. One with a double bed (160 cm x 200 cm - with 2 mattresses 80 x 200) and the other with two single beds (90 cm x 200 cm). There is also a children's extra bed (60 cm x 150 cm) in the anteroom. There is heating in all rooms. Parents with small children can also be provided with the following equipment: a folding cot, a high chair, a baby bath, a buggy for walking and a gate to block the stairs (stair gate).
You can explore the menhirs and dolmens by bike. There is a bike hire shop, a pizzeria and a bistro/café with W-LAN connection about 400 - 500 metres away. In the high season, there is also a small grocery shop offering fresh croissants and baguettes. All other shopping facilities can be found in Erdeven, approx. 4 km away. There are also two supermarkets and restaurants as well as an ATM, petrol station, butcher and bakery. Most of these are also open on Sunday mornings.
A note for dog owners: the fully enclosed garden and the path in front of the house to the beach are ideal for travelling with your four-legged friend and taking long walks. However, the municipality of Erdeven has decided to no longer accept dogs on the beach during the high season. To avoid any problems, bookings with dogs will therefore no longer be accepted from the 2nd week of July until the last week of August. For a family holiday with friends, the holiday home opposite is also available. Energy costs are charged according to consumption. The first 50 kilowatt hours are included. However, the house is not suitable for people with restricted mobility, as there are several unsecured steps both in the garden and in the house. The last three steps also do not have a DIN-compliant handrail. If required, a transfer from the airport can be arranged or you can use the car hire service at Nantes airport. If you are travelling with a dog, we would like to point out that there is a leather sofa in the living room on which dogs are not permitted. Please also do not take your dog upstairs, especially not into the bedroom.
