Visit atmospheric Veurne (10 km) or enjoy peace and nature in the beautiful De Blankaart domain (14 km), where you can take lovely walks among water, reeds and meadow birds. Ostend airport is also conveniently located 24 km away.

Diksmuide is known for its breathing space: vast polders, green villages and peaceful landscapes. Put on your walking shoes and discover the quiet bowl fields in Lampernisse, the Viconia Kleiputten in Stuivekenskerke, the De Blankaart nature reserve in Woumen and the provincial domain IJzerboomgaard in Kaaskerke. The variety and openness of the landscape will surprise you. The First World War has left lasting traces here. Famous sites, cemeteries and monuments bring history tangibly close.
