The restored former farmhouse consists of the owners' house and 2 holiday rentals, Vue au Jardin (2 people) and Ferienhaus am Teich (max. 4 people), each with a private outdoor area (balcony or terrace). Access is via a single-lane road, the Chemin du Bisweg, which is also designated as cycle route Veloroute de Wallonie number 1. The lovingly furnished holiday flat (42m2) is located on the 1st floor with a separate entrance via an external spiral staircase. It consists of a living/bedroom with high-quality box-spring double bed (2x 90x2.00m), sitting area, TV and DVD player, antique chest of drawers and mirror. The kitchen is equipped with a kitchenette, a dining area and a reading corner with a cosy armchair. Kitchen: fridge, oven, 4 ring hob, sink, cupboards with crockery, cutlery, kettle and pans, glasses, Nesspresso, Senseo, etc. The satellite TV offers mainly German-speaking channels such as ARD, ZDF, WDR, etc. and of course international channels such as CNN etc. (satellite Astra). Private covered balcony with 2 chairs and round table facing west and wonderful to use at sunset or even in the rain. The front garden around the biological swimming pond 15x7x2m can be used by all guests. Each flat has its own marked parking space, while the rear garden and the terraces next to the owners' house are for private use.
Please note that, depending on the time of year, the pond is also home to animals - frogs, newts, tadpoles, ducks and geese, swallows and birds, dragonflies and bats, all of which appreciate the water and quench their thirst. We live in an agricultural region, which means that depending on the time of day you can hear cows, donkeys, horses, hens and cockerels, dogs, cats and even tractors. In summer, birds sing early in the morning and frogs are active at night. If you are not used to these noises, you may feel disturbed in your sleep. There are horses on the site and the internet is available free of charge, is intended for normal private use and is password-protected. The password can be found on the info board in the kitchen. In the flat there is an internet access point as an amplifier. In case of wifi failure please unplug and plug in again. However, we do not guarantee an internet connection for professional purposes or other intensively used purposes such as downloads etc. Contactless access via a keysafe is possible. Please enquire.
The village centre of Hombourg is about 800m away, can be reached on foot or by bike via a cycle path.grocery shop, bakery, brasserie, pharmacy, restaurant, church and school are available.find out about the current opening hours on the net.
