The apartment is situated in the charming village of Mariapfarr, one of the most sunniest spots in all of Austria, in the Lungau region of the Salzburgerland. With panoramic views and an exceptionally favourable climate, it is a wonderful destination all year round.

In the cold months, a white world lies at your feet. From Mariapfarr you can be on the slopes of Fanningberg in Weißpriach-Mariapfarr in no time, where around 25 kilometers of ski slopes await you. The family-friendly Grosseck-Speiereck offers another 50 kilometers of slopes, while the versatile Katschberg-Aineck provides additional challenges with 70 kilometers of both powder and competition slopes. And those looking for high and snow-sure skiing can head to the famous Obertauern, with 100 kilometers of slopes above 1,750 metres as well as a lively 'Après-Ski-Meile'.

Fans of cross-country skiing will find beautiful trails here, such as the 6-km-long Lignitz Höhenloipe for classic and skating, or the sporty 9-km Preber Höhenloipe. There are also numerous guided ski tours and snowshoe hikes to discover the peaceful beauty of the winter landscape.

When the snow disappears, the region turns into a paradise for hikers, cyclists and mountain sports enthusiasts. Vast valleys, challenging mountain tours, gravel bike trails and more than 60 crystal-clear mountain lakes await you. You can also swim in the many public outdoor pools in the area.

Mariapfarr itself, as well as the nearby towns of Mauterndorf and Tamsweg, offer plenty of shops for daily shopping and a wide choice of cosy restaurants.
